InHealth has been awarded a contract to deliver the North London AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm) Screening Programme. Currently provided by 3 NHS Trusts, InHealth has been awarded the contract to deliver one consolidated service across North London, from 1st April 2018. The screening programme aims to reduce AAA related mortality across the male population in the region, who will be invited for routine testing during their 65th year and improve clinical outcomes for patients.
InHealth will provide routine screening, surveillance screening (men who have been referred into the surveillance arm of the service to monitor the growth of a small aneurysm), screening of self-referrals (men aged over 65 that have referred themselves into the Programme, as per national guidance) and safe onward referral to a vascular surgeon to consider treatment options, including surgery where appropriate.
We are extremely proud to be delivering this vital service which creates the opportunity to provide an integrated pathway with consistent high quality service from invitation to onward referral where necessary to key vascular services, delivered from convenient community locations across the region.
